Real Madrid forward hit with fine by the Spanish treasury

According to reports, Real Madrid star, Gareth Bale has run afoul of the law and has been slapped with a fine of €337,000. Apparently, the forward allegedly failed to declare tax relating to income generated from his image rights.

Bale is just one in the latest line of footballers to be charged and fined for tax evasion with Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Luka Modric and Marcelo also falling foul of the Spanish treasury authorities.

The Welsh man might be on his way out of Spain with Real Madrid said to be keen of ridding themselves of the Welsh star. Chelsea and Manchester United remain touted destinations for the 29-year-old.
